Creating outside is influencing the outcome, don't you think?
It all started with a piece of a gelli print
and evolved further and further:

background 31/100
In my overflowing box of scraps I found this piece of tissuepaper which called to me to be used on this background.
So I glued it down, while glueing it down I noticed the neat color transfer so I shifted the tissuepaper to the right.
I added some collage elements out of the box and some stamping.
some coloring with oil pastels and some mail inspired washi tape.

WOYWW 416 - background? 30/100
Hello,
Today is Wednesday, awalys a good day
because...
middle of the week
and more importantly WOYWW day and a special one today, the 8th anniversary, congrats Julia!!!
On top of that, I'm on the verge of a long weekend,
and the weather is fabulous, this Sunday up to 30°C.
So my desk is still set outside
my box with a selection of supplies is getting fuller and fuller each time :-)
While my son was playing in his new swimming pool I created this "background",
I think it is more a finished page already,
just need to add some words, a quote and done.
I always like to see the progress a page makes, so here it is
Can't promise it will be today that I'll visit, but definitely somewhere in the next coming days.

I just cut a piece of the paper that lies on my desk to somewhat protect it,
glued it on to my page
and transformed it into this
I call this background #29

Here is a quick, simple background:
some booktext, spraying (which the camera for some reason doesn't pick up very good) and stencilling through a vintage clock stencil.
Have a lovely day!

Background #27 started out with spraying a word stencil which I cut with the Silhouette Cameo,
can you believe the intricity and detail it can cut??
Next I added some images from a papertissue (I could never use such a pretty tissue to blow my nose, no, I bought this intentionally for crafting) and a KaiserKraft stamp in the top left corner.
This background was made earlier this week, but I thought it wasn't finished enough to share, then I reminded myself today that it is only meant to be a background.

This challenge is succeeding in it's purpose.
I wanted to create more and I am definitely doing that,
perhaps not every single day,
because sometimes life just gets in between me and my crafting,
but as you can see at the increase of blog posts a lot more than in the beginning of the year.
It is also teaching me to go with the flow,
I do not need a plan upfront,
let one thing lead to another.
And that is exactly what happened with this background.
Here you can see the evolution:
It all started simply with taping down some masking tape;
which led me to color them with some oil pastels;
added some scraps out of my box;
and colored the remaining white space with some acrylic paint
then the oil pastels came out again to play,
they are by far my favorite supply at the moment.

Goordmorning all and what a glorious morning it is.
Today we will be reaching temperatures above 25°C! (tomorrow rain and much colder of course)
Because it is wednesday it is time to show you my desk
it looks a bit different you say,
see what's missing?
Yes, my son's desk. We used it past weekend for his party, will be back in place later today.
And yes, also missing it seems is some action on my desk.
well, I must say on this desk, because with the nice weather I grabbed some supplies and moved outside.
where I've created background #25:
Because I'm one quarter of the way, I thought it was appropriate to show an overview:
I like the fact that they are all so very different.

We are still having beautiful weather, so I grabbed some supplies and headed outside again.
In the past I was very reluctant to do that, because I thought I had to drag out everything I own, but it is so freeing to grab just a few supplies and create with them.
I first glued down some papers out of my scarpbox (doiley, openfolding rose, circles)
Added some stamping to the page.
Then ran back inside because I just needed my oil pastels,
ever since I started using them last week I'm addicted to them,
love the soft effect I can create with them.
The dancing man silhoutte is not glued down yet, I think I will color and shade him first.
Today will also be a beautiful day,
so more crafting outside I think,
make sure to come back to see what I've made.

(rediscovered them past week and enjoy using them)
On my desk is a whole pile of strips of paper with circles punched out,
so I glued one of them asymmetrical down over the center black hole.
Next I had some fun with shading the circles, squirting paint and splattering ink.

Hello,
Here is this week's shot from my desk
(and yes Sharon, good spotting from you last week, I did take this standing on my chair, I know, not that safe, but it does give a nice overview, doesn't it?)
What can be seen on my desk?
my handy turntable with scissors, pens, pencils, gluesticks
also some paints, markers, a heating tool, water, palette AND also this box filled with??
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fantastic week.

...no Yulia, , these aren't lip balms,
they are in fact playcolor posterpaint sticks.
Also on my desk is background #23
Although I must say that this is staged,
because in fact I created this in the garden.
Like this weekend I grabbed a box, put in some supplies and headed outside.
Here you can see our (me and my son) set-up.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fantastic week.

I just LOVE background #22,
not sure whether this is a background rather then a finished page,
just some words are missing I think
Here is a progress pictures
It all started with a scrapbooking template and a piece of pretty scrapbookpaper.
But as you can see I didn't follow the pattern.
Next I added some gesso to blend everything together and colored with oil pastels and my fingers, this was so much fun to do. I also added some text with a stamp in the larger rectangles.
The pink and flowers of the paper inspired me to stamp the roses and color them with a pink and purple posca pen.
I changed my mind about the color and changed it to blue,
and I had this napking design that works just perfect.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that I grabbed a box and put some art supplies in there and went outside to create background #20,
yes I can not believe it either that I am already one fifth of the way.
I collaged booktext, applied a coat of clear gesso and sprayed with the 3 colors dylusions inks.
I grabbed the stencil and a babywipe to create a ghost effect, but this didn't work out like I intended??
The leftover paint on the stencil however did create a nice effect.(Huray for not cleaning my stencils)
I also added some stamping.
I found the page a bit dark so I grabbed my white posca pen and outlined the stamp and also added some white gesso (okay, I ran back in to my studio to grab these as I didn't bring them initially out in the box)

just noticed that it was published exactly a year ago,
coincidence?
Don't think so!
It is very strange but I actually don't have that fear,
I have more fear of adding on to an already existing page.
But I got inspired by her page using clothes labels,
I too have a collection of them,
so I grabbed them and started glueing them down
I love the colorpalette , totally inspired by Maremi.

One of the guidelines of the 100 day project was to let it go ( okay, now I'm stuck with the Frozen themesong in my head for the rest of the evening) where it takes you, that is exactly what this background did with me.
The evolution of background #18:
swirly lines with glossy accents;
sprinkled some brushos and wet it;
lovely (note to self: should have stopped here)
golden wax on top of the glossy accents swirly lines.
thought the gold was too shiny, so set out to age it a bit with antiquing cream.
when I wiped away the cream, it smudged (and there was no more cream on top of the lines), arghh.
maybe adding some more brushos would do the trick,
okay,
promising,
But...
...when dry, not so anymore.
so time for some drastic measures
out came the gesso
after repeating the steps as in step 1:
not quite the same result ,
guessing the gesso reacts with the brushos, making them more dull.
This time I colored the lines black for more contrast.
I had some tissuepaper laying on my desk from the other day when I made the stamped tissuepaper, this was used to clean my stamps, so I tore it and glued it on, better.
After some drips, bubble wrap and credit card stamping I believe I am satisfied and call it done for now.
