WOYWW 401

Hello fellow deskers,

My desk is one big hot mess (again) today

you can see (among other things): a box of inktense pencils, my artjournal, some bookpages and crayons (tried out a technique I saw Carolyn Dube demonstrate with stencils and crayons; totally fun; did it together with my son)

Here's a closer look at my AJ

It is actually upside down, but suddenly I saw a face emerge out of the circles J

I also did some more faces in my sketchbook

Thx for stopping by, hope you have a lovely, creative week.

WOYWW 400

Wow, WOYWW is already running for 400 weeks, congratulations Yulia!

I must say my desk doesn't look very festive or busy for this special occasion, sorry for that, but we have been away for the weekend.

On my desk you can see a background in progress

And my sketchbook which I took along with me this weekend

in which I managed to draw some faces

Like I said this year is all about practice, practice, practice.

WOYWW 398 - butterfly princess

Yep, it is Wednesday again.
The day we all come together to see and be inspired by each other’s wokdesks,
And that all thanks to our lovely host Julia over at The Stamping Ground.

Here is my desk at 5:30 this morning,
just before I leave to work

It is less much cluttered as last week, on both sides,
as I couldn’t bare the clutter at my son’s side anymore I did some cleaning,
He wrote me a nice note to thank me

On my desk is the finished AJ page from last week

I call her my butterfly princess

What else is there?
Well, I bought these haircoloring tools,

not to color my hair but to use to paint of course,
They are great
Especially the tooted one is great for adding texture

On my desk are also some new stamps

And ornaments

At my son’s side there is a beautiful drawing he made from and for his guinea pig Charlie,

who has been very poorly the last couple of days and is at the vets now as we speak,
I hope he will pull through and we can pick him up this evening, fingers crossed.

WOYWW 397

Hello and welcome,
I can’t believe it’s been since November since I last joined this amazing hop around the world one desk at a time,
(check out Julia’s place here if you’d like to join or just want to know more)
It's not that I didn't do anything, just didn't blog for a while,
and to proof this here is the hot mess that I call my desk

on the left is my space and on the right my son's.

And if you think this is already a mess, I won't show you the floor ☺☺☺

Here is a closer look at the AJpage I'm currently working on

As I wrote in my previous post one of my aims this year is to learn to draw mixed media girls,
and the only way to do that is by doing it,
so this is my first attempt in my actual journal,
I've made some practices in a sketchbook(which actually turned out a bit better)

Thx for taking the time to stop by.

portrait #1

Hello,
I wish you all a very creative 2017!
At the beginning of a new year I like to take a moment to stand still and look at where I stand in life and where I want to go.
That way I can determine my focus points.
Creatively one of my goals is to learn to draw fabulous mixed media girls,
and apparently the only and best way to do so is to draw many, many faces.
Here is attempt #1

I followed a tutorial from Bella Rose Creative called How to draw a face when you have no drawing skills, which I clearly don't have.
Curious how this will evolve.
