WOYWW522

Hello fellow WOYWWers,
looks like a lot of you had a seriously blast with the crop,
unfortunaltely I live across the canal,
maybe one day though...

my desk this week looks rather neat

I am currently in full swing of Tammy Garcia aka Daisy Yellow's ICAD2019 challenge,
the set up is to create an indexcard a day (like the name ICAD says 😊)

here are the ones I have completed till now
(they also stil count to finish my 365somethings2018)

what else can be spotted on my desk?
my new aquarelmarkers,
no fancy brand,
just from Action (priced only €3.99),
there are 6 different trays in total,
I have bought 3 to test them

WOYWW520

okay Yulia, you busted me last time,
my desk was clean despite of the AJ page because it was in fact staged 😉😳
what does my desk look like in all his glory then??
well, something more like this

I've just finished creating this indexcard for my 365somethings

At the left you can spot some more finished indexcards which I still need to put up on the blog

and there are some that are started and need to be finished

Happy 10th anniversary
and on to many more years of desksharing

WOYWW518

Another week has flown by and my desk doesn't look the same,
that is always a good thing 😉

Last week someone wondered what I would do with my Mona Lisa stencil,
well
 tada

Trust is exactly what I needed to have creating this page,
because it first went from bad
to worse
to finally something I like.

Van Gogh

2 months ago I went to the Van Gogh immersive experience in Brussels
which was impressive to say the least.
When you entered it was as if you walked into his bedroom.

In the next room you sat down in a beach chair
and enjoyed his paintings brought to life
and projected on the massive walls,
(below a little flavor video)

In the last room you truly entered his world through virtual reality,
this was truely mindblowing.

These impressions return in below artjournalpage
using one of my newest stencils.

198-199/365somethings2018

Today I testdrove the alphabet and numbers stencil

together with my new watersoluble oil pastels

and I love them both💓💓💓

I love the boldness of the letters and numbers
and the soft vibrant colors of the oilpastels

3 more stencils to test...

196-197/365something2018 - new stencils

Remember these new stencils on my desk on Wednesday?

Of course I needed to give them a test drive:

Now I see the picture I see I a mistake,
I wrote "sweet home sweet",
instead of "home sweet home"😂
also true of course 😉

And one te remember from time to time:
a little progress each day adds up to big results."

That is already 2 tested and approved.
Tomorrow on to the next.

193-195/365somethings2018

Who says that art supplies need to be expensive??
Below is a snapshot of some art supplies I bought at Action,
a shop comparable to the dollarstore for my American friends.
I only paid something like €5 for 6 bottles of inkspray and 8 paintmarkers 😁

One of the major advantage of cheap supplies
is the sense of freedom they give,
I am not afraid to use them
or experiment with them

WOYWW517

It's been over a year since I last shared my desk,
but a couple of weeks ago I saw a FBpost from Sarah from Sarah's Craft Shed
about decreasing blogviews
and I was reminded of this lovely supporting community
so I ought it was time to join in again,
that is if you have me back of course?

Below a snapshot I just made from my desk

and here are some detail pictures

top left are some watersoluble oil pastels from Talens,
at the right a box filled with my indexcards for the 365somethings2018 challenge,
yes, I am still doing the 365somethings2018,
I am currently at no.199.
I am determined to finish this challenge, rather then abondan it,
don't know in which year it will be finished though 😏
because lately crafting has been on a low fire.
I am trying to find my mojo back in different ways:
by investing in new supplies,
joining back with this bloghop,
creating new stencils with my Silhouette (bottom picture)

thx for stopping by.

dream 188-192/365somethings2018

Yesterday
is but today's memory
and tomorrow
is today's dream.

A while ago I bought this book about the meaning of dreams,
not only because I am interested in the subject,
but also because I liked the images in it.
After reading the book I went through it again,
cut out the images that spoke to me and
added them to my collage stash.

A few of them I used as a starting point for my next 365 somethings:

180-184/365somethings2018

We can do no great things,
only small things
with GREAT love.
Mother Teresa.

Finally crossed the half way mark of the 365 challenge,
although be it with babysteps,
I will get there in time.

Wonder where my inspiration came for this series? 😉

174-179/365somethings2018

For this series I attached several index cards together
and
started with some random mark making,
detached them,
added some final touches
which make them all unique
(although they started out out of the same piece)

I love them all
they are bold and expressive

168-173/365somethings2018

INSPIRATION,
a funny little thing
sometimes my head spins with ideas and inspiration,
other days not so much.

What to do on such days?
well, browsing the internet sometimes work,
but be carefull,
because before you know it the whole day has passed with "just" looking at what others have created and you didn't do a thing.

That said, for the next cards I browsed pattern images in google
and the ones that spoke to me I put down in my way on paper.

why stick to only black&white?
so much more fun to be made with the colors of the rainbow:
