WOYWW 357

It’s Wednesday and Julia is hosting yet again the fantastic blog hop WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday)
So here is my workdesk in the state it is right now.

On the left you see my ARTicles book with this week’s spread in progress, as always check in on Sunday to see the completed page.
I’ve carved a mason jar stamp for the page, while I was carving  my son came up to me with his own design for me to carve, his guinea pig, you can see the test prints under my lino cutter.
In the front you see one of my JAM pages in progress. It has butterflies on it and the rest is done with gel sticks, will blog about this later this week when completed.
Last week I also showed you my son’s work area, got a lot of nice feedback thx for that and by the way he’s 6 years old if you were wondering, we did some cleaning over the weekend and his workdesk looks like this now.

Much better and I think he also appreciates it because suddenly he is creating on his desk instead of on the floor and he is creating beautiful pieces instead of making one big mess. You can see some drawings and he glued his guinea pig stamp on a piece of cardboard and even made a handle for it.
That's all for me this week, thx for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment, I'm off on my weekly trip around the world from desk to desk now.

  2. I just love homemade stamps and the guinea pig is delightful. Nice that your son has his own desk now - does that mean you will do yours as a twosome from now on? Have a happy Wednesday x Jackie #17

  3. What a lovely little Guinea pig design - we have G.Pigs and they are the sweetest little animals. The butterflies are gorgeous, especially against that beautiful vivid background of colour - very summery and hot!
    Have a good week,

  4. I once did a workshop for carving my own stamps, ended up with a cut finger and a miserable attempt so haven't been there since. Nice to see someone succeeding at it.
    Have a good week.
Hugs, Neet xx ps like the tidy desk of your son.

  5. Yeah, it gets too messy to cope with and so you move rather than knowing where to start with the tidying..I have a lot of sympathy with him! I hope he loves the Guinea stamp as much as I do! The butterfly page is beautiful colours already, keep going!

  7. The Guinea pig is so sweet, you are clever. I know how difficult Lino cutting is, I've tried it a couple of times.
We need a picture of you both crafting together

  8. How brilliant that you carve your own stamps, that's impressive although good look with a guinea pig, I bet that takes some doing. It's lovely to see a young crafter in the making, I bet he loves having his own desk.
    Have fun

  14. I like that both you and your son's desk have just the right amount of stuff on them, leaving lots of room to play. Carving your own stamps--that sure is something! PJ #57

  21. Tidy spaces you both have and it's been forever since I made a lino stamp. I always messed up on cutting out the wrong part. Yours turned out well
The markers I use are some spectrum too they aren't bad to use.i do like that they are juicy and the colours can be overlay to get darker or lighter depending on what I'm doing if you start with lighter and add in darker then go back over with lighter to blend you can get some interesting effects depending on if the page is still Wet from the ink then touch lightly with dark to add in more color again have fun with them hugs Nikki 2
