background 59/100

Hello,

On the previous background I used purple paint of which I had put way too much on my palette, so instead of wasting it,I used it on my next background where I painted some circles with it. Same for the yelllow.

Added some stamping, collage and a border.

There is a lot of white space left for my doing.

Hi there

This was my "blank" page to start with

which I turned into this with some acrylic paint and a stencil

Looking at the pictures now I may have stopped here,
but I added some white paint and the word "liefde" which means love in Dutch.
but I must say in real life it is better then on photo.

Hello,

The next background started out with just 2 pieces of underpaper and some blue acrylic paint

Doesn't it completely look like the ocean?
It did to me, so I added some turtles

used a stencil with a babywipe
and added some drips

Advice from the sea turtles:

swim with the current
be a good navigator
stay calm under pressure
be well traveled
think long term
age gracefully
and spend time at the beach

Hello,

I had some black paint leftover from the previous page,
under the motto waste not want not I applied it on a blank page and worked from there to create this awesome page:

Hello,

This page started with the cage stamp in the bottom right corner and evolved into this:

Bold orange lettering on black, contrasted with hot pink and some gold heatembossed accents.

Hello,

This page started out with a red blop of paint on it (you see,I never waist any paint, instead I smear leftovers on a new page)
I flipped through another National Geographic (seems to be a new hobby of mine) and collected some images that spoke to me and arranged them in a pleasing way:

Next I played around with some sprayinks from Lindy's Stamp Gang,
I must say I think I'm starting to like them,
and some gold wax to finish it off:

On the opposite page I glued down the babywipe which I used to clear the excess sprayink and created some drips with the same colors, I also added some gold wax on the babywipe to tie it even more in:

Hello,

I felt like coloring, so I colored blocks with neocolor II and activated them with a waterpen, some stamping and white paint on top and done.

I've created a tab on my blog with an overview of all the backgrounds, nice to see them all together and see how different some are.

background 50/100

Hello,

Here is background #50, yes that is wright, I'm halfway in the challenge:

What are my finding thus far:
Although the main goal of this challenge was to create every single day during 100 days and I wasn't successful in that it has not been a total waste.
I did create more frequently and more importantly I am creating more freely.
I am now able to start a page without any expectations, without a plan and let the project lead me,which is really liberating to me.

I will do an overview of the pages thus far, so stay tuned.

background 49/100

Hello,

Almost halfway in the 100 day challenge, whereas I should have almost been finished if I really did a background a day.
Alas!

This was my initial background: colorful stripes in ecoline, which popped even more after some black stencilling.

But look where the page took me:

These are just 3 random pieces of gelliprints glued to a page

But by adding music notes with a stamp all over the page and creating the red drips with acrylic paint, the page becomes coherent.

After yesterday's page using pictures out of a National Geographic magazine, I browsed some more in the magazine and found a cool page with frogs, tore it into pieces and collaged it to my page.

some yellow and green dulusions sprayink:
The frogs brought me to the crazy bird stamp;
next the arrow stencil fell in my hands;
and suddenly I needed a focal image where all those arrows were pointing at:

How awesome is this page?

It started out with a collage of pictures out of a National Geographic magazine.

which I blended together with acrylic paint.

I like the monochrome palette with a splash of red and yellow, this blends very well with the pictures.
I believe it even makes the pictures more stronger.
