Ok, preperations are done for this afternoons B-day party, so I'm taking a 5 minute break to show you the progress on my backgrounds.
Staying with the metallic theme I added some gold and silver splatters:
Again there was some blue paint left over from my son's play that evening, so I used that to colorize some texture paste and applied that through the same stencil I used with the spray inks yesterday.
Hardly visible here, but I sprayed my page using the Lindy's stamp gang glitz spritz from the victorian bouquet set.
Even harder to see, I added white stitches with a posca pen.
Some black acrylic paint through an alphabet stencil
Outlined the textbook and border with black gelstick.
Now I'm going to mentally prepare myself for an invasion of a bunch of 5 year olds J
Looking good Vicky, have a fun time today!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was exhausting, was glad when it was over :-) how do kindergarten teachers cope with 20 of those energybombs all day, all week long??
DeleteThis looks like a fun project! It's nice to see how these backgrounds take shape!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely, it's also challenging me because there are backgrounds I already like so much I otherwise wouldn't add anything more to it, but now I have to :-)
