Hello ,
It’s Wednesday again, YEAH!, that means we get to snoop
around each other desks.
I must say I’m only joining in in the fun since a couple of
weeks, but I’m loving every second of it, seeing other desks, getting inspired, but most of all
what a wonderful warm community you all are. Thank you for letting me being part of it!
This morning before leaving for work I took this picture of
my desk
Yesterday I had a play session with my alcohol inks.
What brought this on?
Well, this month’s theme over at Let’s play is neglected art
supplies and these definitely fall into that category.
This is a shot of some of the results so far.
I actually have a confession, I took this picture of my desk
on Sunday and was planning on showing this.
I know a bit staged, but I went to a craft fair this weekend and wanted to show all
the goodies I brought back:
New cutting/scoring board, set of spectrum noirs, some
stamps, a couple of new Dylusions sprayinks and some paint sticks.
Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment.
Can't wait to see what you're up to.
Got to love a staged desk with new goodies! happy crafting. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteWe all stage our desks with new goodies that's almost a requirement when you get new toys. Have fun with all the new toys hugs Nikki 3
ReplyDeleteLove your staged desk - and why not! Think we all do it from time to time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about Alcohol Inks - as you say they tend to get neglected these days but we can soon remedy that. I have some jars just waiting for a touch of the alcohol.
Hugs, Neet 13 again! oh heck! xxx
Staged..that's ok.How else can we see all those beaut goodies if not?hehe. Love what you have done with the alcohol inks.I neglect them too. They'll be all dried up if I don't use them soon.

ReplyDeleteOoh, you've got some lovely goodies there - and staged is fine in my book, it's a lovely way to show your new stash! I like your results with the inks, some of those colours are fabulously intense. Hope you have a great week and get to 'play' with your newbies,

Your goodies make me want to try them out, I've never used alcohol inks, enjoy
ReplyDeleteJill #22
What a lovely bright cheery desk! Hope you have fun playing with your new goodies :-D
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 9 xx
I am envious of most WOYWW folk because they have a workdesk coz I don't so all my stuff has to be cleared away. You've made some lovely bright papers that I'm sure will soon be out to use. Happy WOYWWW x Jackie 24
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful new toys to play with! I always getting new things! Glenda #27
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with staging a desk otherwise we would never be able to see what we are working on. LOL. Have a lovely week.

Alcohol inks... I have two small bottles and hardly ever use them but I saw Quinn McDonald using the ink in a fantastic way last week and I almost bought some new ink just to try it too... better not, the stuff is expensive! (I tried to look up Quinn's blogpost for you but it turns out she posted the pieces on FB... ) Have fun with all the new materials, it is inspiring to have new stuff isn't it!? Have a lovely day and happy woyww, Marit #45
ReplyDeleteGreat play with the alcohol inks, Vicky! No need to apologize for a staged desk, LOL, I do it all the time! The first one looks very spontaneous and busy though! Glad you're enjoying WOYWW as much as I do! It's so lovely to get lots of comments, isn't it? Thanks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #40
ReplyDeleteI love the backgrounds you created. Very cool. And who can blame you for wanting to show off your new goodies. This is my very first week visiting around - glad to know there is someone else relatively new. :)

I noticed the canned air - did you use that to move around the inks on the cards? What a clever girl you are!!! Also, who makes those adorable bird stamps? I've seen them several times. Even though I've sworn off stamps I seem to be attracted to them. Maybe it's the spring like weather we are having here in New Mexico!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

PS - this is a great bunch of bloggers!!
You have a lovely haul of goodies from the Craft show! Yes the glue holds the stamps on the carrier sheet in my folders, and also onto the acrylic block. I used to EZ mount, but I've found some I did in the early days- 10 or more years ago- the EZ mount peels off easily, and also is starting to go 'cupped' making the stamps difficult to stick to either the sheets or blocks. It's also surprising how much less space bare rubber takes up. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #6 xxx
ReplyDeleteLoving the new goodies, I've got some alcohol inks but rarely use them - really must give them a whirl again - lovely desk!
ReplyDeleteooh pretty colors on these backgrounds you have made :) ~Stacy #59
ReplyDeleteThose cards will look fabulous when they are done.
ReplyDeleteI love the backgrounds.
Happy creative week!

Hi Vicky, lots of interesting stuff going on here. I love the bird stamp on your Sunday desk view I have that one too but have only used it a couple of times. I've been using Alcohol inks quite a lot recently though like you they tend to be a forgotten product. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 26
ReplyDeleteOh dear - your post has just reminded me about the alcohol inks I bought at the craft fair in the NEC a few years ago and haven't yet opened!! Looks like you got quite a bit of shopping at the craft fair :-)
ReplyDeleteThe last time I used my alcohol inks, was a year ago when my girls and I painted white plastic Easter eggs with them. Those inks can be a lot of fun to work with, but they're definitely only for specific uses. I love the fun effects you got in the cards you made. The stuff you purchased looks like it'll be fun to use too. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting last week - I'm so sorry it's taken me a while to catch up! It's almost Wednesday again! :)
ReplyDeleteI love inks, but don't bother with them nearly enough - once they're out though I have a lot of fun. I love the colours you have - have fun!!!
