Hello and welcome,
Wednesday again, time to show our desks and what is on it.
Here is mine
I must say I’m pleased that it is still in such a good shape, the
correct storage is helping me keeping it that way.
What is on my desk?
My first finished page from Wanderlust 2016.
Can’t take you through it step by step though, sorry, need
to respect the rules.
Our prompt was to create a page around the word that
describes us today (just that day, or broader like this year)
Kasia choose change and I must say that applies to me too,
this year will be marked by a change on the work front, either I will move
locations (much further commute L)
or change job all together.
But I didn’t want to just copy her word so I also choose
grow, because I want to grow in my art, as a person... and I found just the quote
with both words in that describes it perfect:
If we don't change,
we don't grow.
if we don't grow,
we aren't really living.
Love your wanderlust page, I've still only done week 1... need to get cracking so I don't fall too far behind! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteI looked at the Wanderlust workshop, but had to admit it was more than I could possibly afford. I'm glad a few are doing it, though. and I like both your page and your well organized desk, too. Happy WOYWW from #2.
ReplyDeleteI'll go along with that saying definitely. What saddens me is how you can lose friends because they don't understand but what gladdens me is the new friends we make along the way.
ReplyDeleteHappy desk day

Hi Vicky, the houses are my own invention. I got the idea for different backgrounds from the You Tube video I posted on my blog. I just adapted the idea to a fairy book I found at the bottom of a big box of scraps I have had for about 3 years. The Artful Life Journalling class I am doing with Joanne Sharpe(see sidebar also), is a totally different style.Hope that helps.

Colours on that page are just wonderful, and I love the grow sentiment very much. I don't have much of a commute at all and really have decided that it's a deal breaker for me in terms of finding work! I'm a bit worried that you may not have enough sockets.....
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your journal, and great words to ponder on too. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx
ReplyDeleteYour colours are so gorgeous - it must be so satisfying to achieve so much from your class.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday - and the rest of the week too!

Great page, just love the colours. I will have to play catch up when I get home with Wanderlust as there is no time (or materials) here on holiday with me - unless I do a miniature artwork. Need to sign in.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet 3 xx
Yay, you're doing Wanderlust! I'll try to look you up! You've got so much desk space! Lovely journal page! I had a similar word last year, which was "progress". Changing jobs can be a bit daunting - I'm looking for one at the moment and not enjoying it much. If only I could make some money out of my hobby! zsuzsa #48

great looking work space and I love your journal pages. Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #61
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely page, and what great words too - how true they are. I love your creative space - with the sloping ceiling above, it has a nice quiet, intimate feel about it, and it looks uncluttered and calm! Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you enjoyed the virtual tour of mine, esp. the display area! I wish it was bigger because there's lots of stuff I'd like out on display.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,
