I don’t mean my workdesk, simple and clean is the current challenge at The Craft Barn.
When I first read the challenge I
didn’t have a clue as what to do because I usually don’t do simple and clean, especially the clean part J
After some browsing on pinterest
found some ideas and set to work on some cards, usually don’t do cards either
but coincidentally it turns out I am in need of some cards as there are some
birthdays coming up. So how does my desk look like after creating a clean card,
well not that clean I must say.
For those curious
how the card turned out, here it is
We also needed to include a flower and a sentiment.
Now I still have some more ideas, but first I'm off seeing what everyone else is up to. Not familiar with WOYWW, hop on over to our wonderful host Julia at the stamping ground.
I don't do clean and simple either, or simple and clean... something in me just wants to keep going! great card, good luck! Helen #2
ReplyDeleteNow, when I am in a hurry I can do clean and simple. There is a blog somewhere that does nothing but .. the name escapes me at the moment.
ReplyDeleteAs Helen said, keep going, great card.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

I love the gingham flower..it just sets the whole card off perfectly! I love clean and simple in most crafts, I think...I'm not one for overly fussy decorations. Thanks for dropping by, I make stuff for charity because my hands need something to do while watching TV and there's only so many blankets you can have in your house :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 14 xx
I have tried over the years to do clean and simple or single layers but it just doesn't work for me. Love your space and just look at all those outlets!

Your card is lovely Vicky. I love your fabric flower. Your desk looks nice and tidy to me but interesting stuff about. I like the look of your clock embossing folder. Enjoy your day. Barbxx #16
ReplyDeleteA lovely card for the challenge, I really find it hard to do clean and simple, I am trying to do more especially with the price of postage but I love layers!!

Great clean and simple card Vicky, but yes it's ironic that creating a card like that does involve making a mess of your workspace! Great work area, and looks as though it is very well lit. Happy WOYWW, Judith xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty card, nowvif only qe could have simple and clean spaces, it's a constant battle but that's what comes from having loads of craft stuff
ReplyDeleteJill
Beautiful card. I can clean my desk and it will be that was for about 5 seconds!!

Clean and Simple can look classy and elegant. The reason I don't do it is because it usually requires you to measure things and line them up perfectly, and I'm hopeless at that. Plus Grungy and Messy is so much more fun! You did great with the challenge! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #34
ReplyDeletewell done! However simple I think my card is, I swer it causes more than normal amounts of mess at the desk! I'm no gd at CAS, there's just to much stuff to use!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card. I like your desk. It looks very creative and colourful.

ReplyDeleteReally nice card - I don't do simple and clean. Thanks for popping by earlier. Steph and I were not clean today with all the black ink being wielded with a stick. Have a good evening x Jackie 23

A lovely card, Vicky, and I think you followed the brief really well. I'm not so good at simple an clean - on the "simple" I usually can't leave well enough alone, and on the "clean" side I seem to be incapable of making a card without a messy back - ink smudges, glue, etc., and I try to convince myself it's all part of the design lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment and I'm glad you like what I've done.
Happy WOYWW,

hehehe I totally know what you mean - clean and simple project doesn't necessarily mean clean and simple workdesk! Lovely card though - it was worth making a mess for! :o) Annie C #25

My spot is in quite a state today. Was thinking of posting about it. Maybe I really ought to?
ReplyDelete:)
It's just not possible to craft on a tidy desk - it's essential to try out lots of ideas even if it is a clean and simple card!! It turned out really well,
ReplyDeleteBernice
nice neat desk! I have problems keeping my crafting area straightened out! Love the card. I love the clean and simple look...Have a great week! Vickie #58
ReplyDeleteLovely card, the embossing lightly dusted with colour, very elegant!
ReplyDeletecool card. I know what you mean I too struggle with clean and simple, they seem more effort than multi layered heavily inked ones!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my desk already

It's a lovely card and worth all of the effort that you have obviously made!
